Welcome to DinkedIn ("App," "we," "us," or "our"). DinkedIn is a mobile application that provides pickleball matchmaking, queue management, and score tracking services. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect your personal information when you use our App.
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using DinkedIn, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of this Privacy Policy, you must not use the App.

3.4 Apple App Tracking Transparency
We comply with Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework. We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites for advertising purposes. We do not request access to the IDFA (Identifier for Advertisers) and our App does not engage in any cross-app or cross-site tracking.

3.6 Local Storage
The App uses device-local storage (AsyncStorage) to persist your preferences, cached profile data, and authentication tokens on your device. This data is stored locally only, is not transmitted to third parties, and is cleared when you uninstall the App or clear app data. The App does not use browser cookies.

6.1 Where Your Data Is Stored
Your data is stored using Google Firebase/Cloud infrastructure, primarily in the United States. For users in the EEA or UK, this transfer relies on Google's Standard Contractual Clauses and appropriate safeguards.
6.2 Security Measures

- Encryption at Rest: AES-256 via Google Cloud. Passwords are securely hashed, never stored in plaintext

6.3 Security Limitations
No method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security and are not responsible for unauthorized access resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

After account deletion, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

9. Children's Privacy (COPPA)
DinkedIn is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If we discover that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete that information within 48 hours.
Users must be at least 13 years of age to create an account. In jurisdictions where a higher minimum age is required (such as 16 in certain EU member states), users must meet that requirement.
10. Location Data
- Purpose: Used exclusively to verify your physical presence at a registered pickleball venue
- Collection Method: Only when you actively initiate a venue check-in, queue join, or score submission. Never collected in the background
- Storage: Processed in real time; not stored persistently after verification
- Permission: You may revoke location access at any time through device settings
- Precision: GPS-level precise location for venue proximity verification
11. Push Notifications
- We use Expo Push Notification Service and Firebase Cloud Messaging for delivery
- Notifications include match alerts, queue updates, and service-related communications
- We do not send marketing, promotional, or advertising notifications
- Disable push notifications at any time through device settings or the App's settings
- Your push token is deactivated when you disable notifications or delete your account
12. Third-Party Links and Services
The App may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, content, or security of any third-party sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.
13. International Data Transfers
If you access the App from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States. For users in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, transfers are made pursuant to Google's Standard Contractual Clauses and applicable data protection frameworks.
By using the App, you acknowledge and consent to the transfer, storage, and processing of your information in the United States.
14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date and provide notice through the App. Your continued use constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree to changes, you must stop using the App and may request account deletion.
15. Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, and Assumption of Risk
Your use of the App is subject to the disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and assumption of risk provisions in our Terms of Service, incorporated herein by reference.
The App and all associated services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties regarding the accuracy of location verification, matchmaking quality, MMR ratings, or any other feature. You assume all risks associated with interacting with other users, participating in matches, and playing pickleball, including the risk of physical injury.
16. Data Breach Notification
In the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will:
- Investigate promptly and take reasonable steps to mitigate harm
- GDPR users: Notify the relevant supervisory authority within 72 hours (Article 33) and affected individuals without undue delay where high risk exists (Article 34)
- U.S. users: Notify affected individuals without unreasonable delay per applicable state breach notification laws
- Provide information about the breach nature, data types affected, and protective steps you can take
17. Do Not Track Signals
The App does not track users across third-party websites or online services. We do not respond to Do Not Track (DNT) signals, as there is no tracking activity to disable.
18. Account Deletion
You may delete your account at any time through the App's Settings page.
Upon deletion, we will:
- Permanently erase your personal data within 30 days
- Remove your profile, match history, and associated data from active systems
- Instruct service providers to delete your data
- Anonymize any retained data where possible
Some anonymized, aggregated data may be retained indefinitely for service improvement.
19. Accessibility
DinkedIn is committed to digital accessibility. Our application is designed to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA.
20. Governing Law
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions, except where overridden by mandatory local law (such as GDPR for EEA/UK users).
